Social Service of Tarutino has received humanitarian assistance from the «Fund ‘Way of Unity’».
Volunteers of the Charitable Organization «Fund ‘Way of Unity’» have visited the Community-based Social Service Center in the urban-type village Tarutino. Almost 400 citizens from the district are under care of the Center: children, adults, and senior citizens who are temporary internally displaced people from Donetsk and Luhansk Regions and each tends to need protection and support. The Director of the Organization Tetiana Epura treats every supervisee as a member of her own family.
The Community-based Social Service Center comprises nearly 100 persons under care, most of whom are legally incapable and need special care. Among them there are 38 people with a visual impairment and 18 physically challenged people with a need of assisted ambulation.
The Center is also a place where such astonishing cases can happen that would rarely occur in the 21st century. Nontheless, there is a person under care named Mykola, whose visually challenged mother made him live in the dog-hutch. Surely, he used to be a totally antisocial personality, would be afraid of people and would not talk at all. Hopefully, he happened to be under care of the Center’s personnel and started to get used to a normal life. Another case is about a woman Svitlana who was enslaved by gypsies for almost 35 years. The woman does not remember her family name and have lost all her family members; nonetheless, she likes to read and needs communication and care.
The whole district is under Tetiana’s care. «Fund ‘Way of Unity’» is planning to assist the Center on a regular basis. The supervisees of the center have received from the administrative authority of the “Fund” represented by Maksym Makarenko and Chyrva Volodymyr aid in terms of clothing and articles of prime necessity.
